Deanston 15 Year 750 ml

Deanston 15 Year Organic is a Highland single malt Scotch made entirely from certified organic barley. Distilled at Deanston, a converted cotton mill on the River Teith, it spends fifteen years in ex-bourbon casks and reaches the bottle non-chill filtered at 46.3%. Stem ginger, white pepper, and vanilla open it up, then a sweeter core of honey, orchard fruit, and malt gives way to spicy oak and a faint aniseed note on the finish. Skipping the chill filtration keeps the texture full and faintly waxy, the way the distillery intends. This is an unfussy Highland pour for after work or with a book, good neat or opened up with a few drops of water.
