Smoke Wagon Straight Bourbon 4th of July 2024 is an annual limited release from Nevada H&C Distilling in Las Vegas, blended in small batches from carefully selected Indiana-distilled bourbon in the way the Smoke Wagon line has always been put together. Dated runs like this one go out once and do not come back, so the bottle on the shelf is the bottle. The nose is caramel, baking spice and dark cherry; the palate is full and sweet up front, moving into toasted oak, black pepper and a touch of leather; the finish is long, warm and dry. Drink it neat in a Glencairn, or over one large cube if the proof runs hot.
