About this bottle

Amatitán Tezcazul Extra Añejo comes from Amatitán, Jalisco — the town many consider tequila's birthplace, sitting in the shadow of the Tequila Volcano. As an extra añejo, it's rested a minimum of three years in oak by law, well beyond standard añejo, which pushes it into sipping-whiskey territory: expect a deep amber color, cooked agave and vanilla on the nose, and a smooth, woody palate with caramel and a lingering, spiced finish. It's built for guests who think they don't like tequila because they've never tried one this old.

How to drink Tezcazul Extra Añejo

Neat, in a snifter, the way you'd treat a fine brandy — this has spent too long in oak to hide behind lime and salt. A single large cube is fine if you want it slightly opened up, but skip the shot glass.
