About this bottle
Uncle Nearest 777 is a Tennessee whiskey from the brand built around Nearest Green, the enslaved distiller who taught Jack Daniel to make whiskey and whose name went unrecognized for well over a century. The house style rests on the Lincoln County Process: the whiskey is filtered through sugar maple charcoal before it goes into barrel, which strips some of the harsher notes and rounds out everything that follows. Expect maple and toasted corn on the nose, a palate of caramel, dark cherry and baking spice, and a finish that stays sweet and soft. Drink it neat in a glencairn, or over one large cube.
