Wild Turkey Private Selection Rye is a single-barrel bottling chosen one cask at a time, this one picked in July 2025. Wild Turkey has distilled in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky for generations and enters its whiskey into the barrel at a low proof, which means less water goes in at bottling and more of the barrel's character stays in the glass. Single-barrel rye tends to run bolder than the standard shelf pour: rye spice, caramel and orange oil on the nose, a palate of black pepper, vanilla, dill and toasted oak, and a long, dry, peppery finish. One barrel, a few hundred bottles. Drink it neat, or in a Manhattan.
