Woodinville Straight Rye is distilled from a 95% rye, 5% malted barley mash — grain grown on the company's own farm in eastern Washington — then trucked over the Cascades to age in Woodinville. It rests a minimum of two years in new, charred American oak, and the high-rye bill shows through as spicy, robust and assertive rather than sweet. Expect oak, caramel, and vanilla riding over a peppery rye backbone, with a warming finish that carries the grain's bite. How to drink Woodinville Rye

It's a strong Manhattan or Sazerac base — the peppery rye spice cuts through vermouth and bitters without disappearing. Neat works too if you want the spice unfiltered.
