Courage & Conviction is Westland Distillery's flagship American single malt line out of Seattle, built around a five-cask maturation program mixing new oak, used bourbon barrels, sherry casks, and other wood types. This Touch of Modern exclusive, Cuvee Cask No. 1269, is a single-cask release from that program made for the Touch of Modern retail platform. Westland's house style leans on chocolate malt and a distinctly Pacific Northwest terroir, giving their single malt more roasted, savory depth than a typical Scotch-style malt.
