Lagrimas del Valle Benchetler Plata No 2 is an artist collaboration bottling of the estate blanco, released in limited numbers with its own label treatment. What is inside follows the same logic as the rest of the range: unaged tequila from a named site in Jalisco, kept separate rather than blended into a house profile, so the agave and the ground it grew in stay legible. Cooked agave, citrus blossom and green pepper on the nose lead to a clean palate of agave sweetness, lime and cracked pepper, then a dry, crisp, mineral finish. Serve it neat in a small glass, or in a margarita built with nothing but lime and a touch of agave.
