About this bottle

Pere Magloire VSOP is a Calvados, the apple brandy of Normandy, France, from the house of Pere Magloire, one of the region's best-known Calvados producers. It's distilled from Normandy apples and aged a minimum of four years in oak barrels, earning its VSOP designation the same way a Cognac would: a floor of at least four years in wood. Expect a pale gold color and a profile built around baked apple, dried fruit, and a gentle spice picked up from the oak, rather than the grape-based character of a true Cognac. It's a versatile brandy suited to neat sipping after dinner or as a base for an apple-forward cocktail.

How to drink Pere Magloire VSOP

Pour it neat after dinner to enjoy the baked apple notes on their own. It also makes a distinctive apple-forward Old Fashioned in place of whiskey.
