Pierre Huet Calvados Pays d'Auge 15 Year is an apple brandy from Normandy's most prestigious Calvados appellation, Pays d'Auge, which requires double distillation in copper pot stills — a stricter standard than the single-distillation column-still method allowed elsewhere in Normandy. Fifteen years of oak aging gives it real depth well beyond a young Calvados. Expect baked apple, dried fruit and warm spice on the nose, a rich palate of caramel, oak and orchard fruit, and a long, warming finish closer to a fine Cognac than a young apple spirit.
