About this bottle
Krug Grande Cuvée 170ème Édition is the current release of Krug's flagship non-vintage Champagne, a blend of around 195 individual wines drawn from 12 different vintages, with reserve wines from the house's library making up nearly half the final blend. The base wine mix runs roughly 51% Pinot Noir, 38% Chardonnay, and 11% Meunier, and it's bottled at 12% ABV. Expect a deep golden color with aromas of ripe fruit, honey, and brioche, a full-bodied, creamy palate of citrus and toasted almond, and a long, mineral-edged finish. Built for a milestone toast, or for anyone curious what decades of patient blending can taste like.
How to drink Krug Grande Cuvée 170ème Édition
Serve well-chilled, around 45–50°F, in a white wine glass rather than a narrow flute so the aromas can open up. It pairs naturally with roast chicken or aged Comté.
