Griffo Scott Street Gin 750ml

Scott Street Gin is the flagship from Griffo Distillery in Petaluma, California, named for the street the family distillery sits on. It is a contemporary American gin rather than a strict London dry — juniper is present and clearly in charge of the frame, but citrus and soft spice are given room to speak alongside it instead of standing behind it. The nose is pine, lemon peel and a little coriander; the palate is juniper, orange and warm baking spice with a rounded, almost creamy texture; the finish is clean and dry. It makes a friendly gin and tonic and an even better negroni. Stir it with sweet vermouth and Campari over one big cube.
