Chief Gowanus Gin 750 ml

Chief Gowanus is a genever-style gin from New York Distilling Company in Brooklyn, named after the Gowanus Creek that runs through the neighborhood. Unlike a modern London Dry, genever starts from a malted grain base closer to whiskey, then adds botanicals, giving it a maltier, richer character than most gin. It's rested briefly in oak, adding light color and a whiskey-adjacent depth on top of the juniper and botanicals. Expect malt and juniper on the nose, a rounder, slightly sweet palate, and a warm finish that reads closer to an aged spirit than a crisp dry gin.

How to drink Chief Gowanus

Excellent in a Martinez or an Improved Holland Gin Cocktail, where its malty, whiskey-adjacent character fits better than a standard gin drink.
