Keeper's Heart Irish + American, Finished in Stout Barrels, blends 53% Irish whiskies with 47% rye — the Irish side made of a 50/50 malted-and-unmalted-barley pot still whiskey and a 90% corn, 10% malted barley grain whiskey, the rye side a 95% rye, 5% malted barley mash. Master Distiller Brian Nation then finishes the whole blend in stout casks. Bottled at 55% ABV, 110 proof, cask strength. That three-way blend before the stout finish is unusually complex even for a finished whiskey. Pour it neat first to catch the stout roast before it fades.
