About this bottle
Kübler Absinthe Supérieure comes from the Val-de-Travers region of Switzerland, the historic birthplace of absinthe, and was one of the first Swiss absinthes to be legally sold again after the country lifted its century-long ban in 2005. This Vintage Edition is the brand's green (verte) style, distilled from wormwood, anise, and fennel using traditional recipes rather than the thujone-heavy formulas absinthe's reputation exaggerated. Expect a classic herbal, licorice-forward profile that turns cloudy (louches) when water is added, the visual signature of properly made absinthe. It's built for the traditional French/Swiss preparation, not for shots.
How to drink Kübler Absinthe
Use the classic louche method: pour absinthe over a sugar cube on a slotted spoon, then slowly drip ice water over it until it clouds and dilutes to about 1 part absinthe to 4-5 parts water — never drink it neat or as a shot.
