Louis Latour Beaune Les Perrières 2019 is a red Burgundy from the Côte de Beaune, made entirely from Pinot Noir by Maison Louis Latour, a Beaune house that has been farming and bottling in this corner of France for generations. The 2019 vintage was a warm, concentrated one across Burgundy, and the wine carries that ripeness without losing its shape. The nose is red cherry, raspberry and a touch of forest floor; the palate is medium-bodied with fine, dusty tannin, red fruit and the stony streak the vineyard name hints at; the finish is savoury and long. Decant it for half an hour and serve at cellar temperature with duck, mushrooms or roast chicken.
