Michter's Single Barrel Straight Rye 10 year 750 ml
About this bottle
Michter's 10 Year Single Barrel Rye is the Louisville house's statement rye — one barrel at a time, a full decade in new charred oak, released once a year in quantities that never satisfy demand. Michter's traces its name to America's oldest distilling company, and this bottling is where that heritage cashes out: a deep amber pour led by toasted oak and vanilla bean, dark caramel and baking spice through a plush mid-palate, and a long peppered finish that stays composed at 92.8 proof. Rye this old is rare; rye this polished is rarer. Reserve it for neat pours and slow evenings — mixing it would be a confession you bought the wrong bottle.
How to drink Michter's 10 Year Single Barrel Rye
A little air does this one good too — the toasted oak and vanilla bean settle in and the peppered finish loses some of its heat once the whiskey has had a moment to breathe. A tulip glass does more for the caramel on the nose than a standard rocks glass, if you have one on hand.
