About this bottle
Auchentoshan Virgin Oak is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Auchentoshan distillery in the Lowlands, matured partly in virgin (previously unused) oak casks rather than the ex-bourbon or sherry casks most Scotch relies on. Auchentoshan is unusual among Scotch producers for triple-distilling its whisky, giving it an especially smooth, light character. Expect a nose of vanilla and coconut from the fresh oak, a smooth, sweet palate, and a warm, wood-forward finish. It suits Scotch drinkers curious about the effect of virgin oak on a typically gentle Lowland malt.
