Yobo Kish Bliss is a botanical soju built on sour cherry, pink peppercorn and licorice, three flavours that pull in different directions and end up meeting in the middle. Soju is lighter and lower in strength than most spirits on the shelf, which gives an infusion like this room to be aromatic without turning heavy or syrupy. The nose leads with tart cherry and a sweet anise lift; the palate is soft and clean, cherry skin and gentle sweetness cut by a slow prickle of pink peppercorn; the finish is dry with a lingering licorice note.
