Nino Negri Inferno is a red wine from the Valtellina region of Lombardy, Italy, made from Nebbiolo - locally called Chiavennasca - grown on the steep, terraced Inferno subzone vineyards that give the wine its name. That steep, sun-exposed terroir produces a more intense, structured wine than flatter Valtellina sites. The nose shows dried cherry, rose, and earthy spice, the palate carries firm tannins, dark fruit, and mineral notes, and the finish is long and structured.
