About this bottle
Don Julio Añejo is a highland tequila distilled from 100% Blue Weber agave and aged eighteen months in ex-bourbon American white oak casks. That barrel time pushes the agave toward whiskey territory: cooked agave and wild honey run under oak-infused butterscotch, while lime, grapefruit, and mandarin keep the nose bright rather than heavy. The spirit comes from La Primavera in the Jalisco Highlands, where slow-grown agave builds extra sweetness before the oak does its work. Bottled at 80 proof, the finish stays lightly spiced with lingering wild honey instead of drifting into dessert. A natural step for bourbon drinkers curious about aged agave — pour it neat in a snifter, over one large cube, or in a tequila old fashioned.
