Riviera Maya
The Riviera Maya is built in layers: melon liqueur over crushed ice, a shaken mix of rum and orange juice poured on top, and grenadine drizzled last so it sinks to the bottom. It shifts from orange to red as you drink it, and the melon adds a fresh, sweet note. A sunset in a glass for late summer.

The Riviera Maya is a modern recipe named for the stretch of Caribbean coastline in Quintana Roo, Mexico, between Cancún and Tulum. The layered build follows the same idea as the Tequila Sunrise, where heavy grenadine settles under lighter juice.

Batching dilution
When you batch, there's no ice melting in a shaker, so you add the water yourself: 18% for spirit-forward drinks, 25% for shaken ones.
