About this bottle
14 Hands 2021 is a Washington State Cabernet Sauvignon from Columbia Valley, a region whose hot days and cold nights give the fruit both ripeness and acidity. The name comes from the wild mustangs that once ran this land, small horses standing fourteen hands high. This is an easygoing, fruit-forward pour rather than a cellar bottle: dark cherry and blackberry on the nose, a medium-bodied palate carrying plum, cocoa and a little vanilla from oak, and a smooth finish with gentle tannin. Open it an hour before dinner and pour it with burgers, grilled steak or anything that comes off the smoker.
