Acre Largo Joven Rosa is a joven tequila in the rosa style, the pink-tinted category that has grown quickly on back bars over the last few years. Joven means the liquid has not been carried through long maturation, so it keeps the bright, green character of young agave rather than trading it for oak. The nose is floral and fruit-forward, with strawberry and citrus blossom sitting over cooked agave. The palate is soft and lightly sweet, red berry and pink grapefruit resting on an agave base, and the finish is gentle with a clean peppery lift. Serve it well chilled in a small glass, or pour it over ice with grapefruit soda and a squeeze of lime.
