This Acumen Atlas Peak AVA 2019 is a blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, and 6% Malbec grown in Napa Valley's Atlas Peak. It has aromas of dark plum, blackberry, and cassis, with hints of baking spice, cedar, and espresso roast. On the palate it's full-bodied with dark fruit flavors, underlying sagebrush, sweet tobacco, and cocoa powder, with a soft texture, firm tannins, and a long, smooth finish.
How to drink Acumen Atlas Peak
Decant it for 30-60 minutes before serving to soften the tannins, then pour into a large-bowled glass around 62-65°F. Grilled steak or a hearty stew is the obvious pairing given the dark fruit and firm structure.
