Alpine Distilling Utah Straight Bourbon Whiskey 750ml

Alpine Distilling's Utah Straight Bourbon is made in Park City, high in the Wasatch, where thin mountain air and wide temperature swings push spirit in and out of the wood faster than it moves in Kentucky. Straight is a legal term rather than a stylistic one: at least two years in new charred oak, with nothing added. The nose is caramel, vanilla and toasted corn with a little orchard fruit behind it. The palate is sweet and medium-weight, running through brown sugar, baked apple and cinnamon toward a drier oak spine, and the finish is warm with a light pepper tail. Drink it neat, over a large cube, or in an old fashioned that needs little sugar.
