About this bottle
Amarás Cupreata is a single-agave mezcal made from Agave cupreata, a variety native to Guerrero and Michoacán that's roasted in earthen pits and distilled the traditional way. Cupreata tends to produce a mezcal with more fruit and floral character than the smokier espadín-based bottlings, showing tropical fruit and herbal notes over the expected roasted-agave backbone. Amarás works with small palenques and highlights the specific agave and region on each label rather than blending across varieties.
How to drink Amarás Cupreata
Sip it neat in a copita, ideally with a wedge of orange and a pinch of sal de gusano — the fruit-forward Cupreata profile doesn't need a cocktail to shine.
