America First Bourbon 750ml

America First Bourbon is an American bourbon in the traditional mould, a corn-led mash matured in new charred oak, which is what the word bourbon legally requires and where nearly all of the colour and sweetness come from. Beyond that the bottle keeps its cards close, so what follows is a read on the style rather than a house profile. Expect caramel and vanilla on the nose with toasted corn behind them, a palate of brown sugar, baked apple and cinnamon sitting over a drying oak frame, and a medium finish carrying light pepper and char. Drink it neat, over one large cube, or in a straightforward old fashioned with bitters.
