Amor Mio Anejo Grand Reserva 750ml

Amor Mio Anejo Gran Reserva is an anejo tequila, meaning at least a year in oak barrels under 600 litres, which is where the category picks up its colour and most of its sweetness. Gran Reserva on a label usually signals a house's longer-rested stock rather than its everyday pour, and it tends to sit closer in weight to an aged brandy than to a blanco. Expect a nose of vanilla, toasted oak and cooked agave with dried fruit behind it, a palate running caramel, baked apple, cinnamon and a little roasted nut over an agave base, and a long, warm finish drying toward oak. Drink it neat in a copita, or over one large cube.
