Arette Blanco Artesanal 700ml

Arette Artesanal Blanco is an unaged tequila from Destileria El Llano, the family distillery in the town of Tequila, and it belongs to the artesanal line rather than the standard range. Blanco goes to the bottle without oak, so what reaches the glass is the agave and the still and nothing else to hide behind. The nose is cooked agave, wet earth and citrus; the palate brings black pepper, lime peel and an almost saline mineral edge; the finish comes clean and dry with a little heat behind it. It mixes hard and still holds up neat. Build a margarita with it, or pour it chilled beside a sangrita.
