Armand de Brignac Rosé is the pink bottling in the Ace of Spades range, a Champagne produced by the Cattier family at Chigny-les-Roses in the Montagne de Reims and dressed in the house's pewter labels. Rosé Champagne takes its color from red grapes, and the extra fruit weight shows in the glass: wild strawberry, raspberry and a little blood orange on the nose, then a palate that runs creamy rather than tart, with red berries, pastry and a fine, steady bead. The finish is dry and long. Serve it cold in a white wine glass, and treat it as a dinner wine rather than a toast.
