Augusto Tequila Reposado is a 100% blue agave tequila from the highlands of Jalisco, rested in oak past the blanco stage to pick up vanilla, caramel, and light oak spice while keeping the agave character intact. Highland-grown agave (as opposed to lowland/valley agave) tends to run sweeter and more floral, which typically shows through even after barrel time softens the raw spirit. Expect a smooth, balanced reposado with a golden hue and a rounder mouthfeel than the brand's unaged blanco.
