About this bottle
Azulejos Talavera Anejo Bottle Number One is an aged tequila in a blue hand-painted ceramic vessel modeled on the talavera pottery of Puebla, and this is the large 1.75 liter format. Anejo means a minimum of one year in oak barrels, which is where the color, the vanilla and most of the softness come from. Expect vanilla, dried fruit and cooked agave on the nose, a palate of caramel, toasted oak and cinnamon, and a long, warm finish that lands sweetly spiced. A bottle this size and this decorated tends to be bought as a centerpiece. Serve it neat, at room temperature, in a small glass.
