Barrelsmith Rum Runner is a bottled ready-to-drink take on the Florida Keys tiki classic, a rum drink built on banana and blackberry flavours with citrus and grenadine behind them. Made properly it is fruity without collapsing into syrup, and that balance is the whole point of buying it pre-mixed rather than assembling five bottles for one round. The nose is ripe banana and dark berry, the palate brings rum sweetness, blackberry, pineapple and lime, and the finish is short, fruity and clean. It is a pitcher drink in a bottle. Pour it over crushed ice, add a lime wheel, and float a little dark rum on top.
