Bear Brothers BB9 Bergamote is a gin flavoured with bergamot, the fragrant Mediterranean citrus better known for what it does to Earl Grey tea. Bergamot sits somewhere between lemon, orange and something floral, and in gin it pushes the spirit toward the contemporary end where citrus leads and juniper supports rather than dominates. Expect bright bergamot oil and orange peel on the nose, a palate of citrus zest, soft juniper and a faint bitter edge, and a clean, perfumed finish. It comes in the 700ml European format.
