Big Gin Bourbon Barreled 750 ml

Big Gin Bourbon Barreled is the Seattle distillery's flagship gin given a rest in used bourbon barrels, which turns the spirit straw gold and adds a layer of oak sweetness on top of the botanicals. The base gin is unusually assertive for an American release, built around juniper with Tasmanian pepperberry giving it a distinctive peppery lift. In barrel form the nose is juniper and citrus peel over vanilla and warm wood. The palate brings pine and coriander together with caramel, cassia and that pepper bite, and the finish is dry and spicy rather than sugary. Pour it neat over a big cube, or use it to build a gin old fashioned or a martinez.
