Black Feather American Bourbon 43% Alc/Vol 750ml

Black Feather American Bourbon is bottled at 43 percent, a step above the 80 proof floor that most entry bourbons settle for, and that extra few points shows up as body rather than heat. It sits squarely in the classic mould: corn-led mash, new charred oak, colour and sweetness pulled from the wood. Vanilla, caramel corn and light char lead the nose. The palate is brown sugar and toasted oak with a touch of orchard fruit around the edges, and the finish is medium length, warm and softly sweet without turning syrupy. It handles dilution well, which makes it a sound mixing bourbon. Try it on the rocks or in a whiskey sour.
