The Sassenach Blended Scotch Whisky 750ml

Created by Outlander star Sam Heughan, The Sassenach is a blended Scotch whisky that took Double Gold at the 2020 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Bottled at 46% ABV, the blend leans soft and dessert-forward: apricot and orange with a slow build of cinnamon on the nose, honey and vanilla fudge over raisin and almond on the palate, then lasting nutmeg, citrus oil, and toffee. The name is Gaelic-rooted slang for an English outsider — fans of the show will catch the reference, and the liquid holds up whether or not you do. Approachable for a first Scotch and layered enough for a seasoned shelf, it drinks well neat, over one big cube, or in a Rob Roy.
