Blue Chair Bay Lime is a lime-flavored Caribbean rum from Kenny Chesney's beach-minded spirits label, a brand that has never pretended to be anything other than easy drinking in a glass. The rum base stays light and soft so the citrus can lead, and the result is closer to a key lime dessert than a squeezed wedge. Fresh lime zest and cane sugar come first on the nose. The palate is sweet lime with light tropical fruit over the gentle rum underneath, and the finish is clean, citrus-bright and short. It does its best work cold and mixed.
