Botran 12 Year Reserva Superior 700ml

Botran 12 Year Reserva Superior is a Guatemalan rum made from virgin sugarcane honey rather than molasses, distilled and aged by the Botran family in the highlands above Quetzaltenango, where cool nights slow maturation to a crawl. The rum is built in a solera system, so each bottling marries younger barrels into older stock instead of drawing from a single vintage. The result is soft and dessert-leaning: vanilla and toasted coconut on the nose, butterscotch, dried banana and baking spice on the palate, and a warm, gently sweet finish with a little oak tannin at the edge. Sip it neat, or pour it over one large cube.
