Cinzano is one of the founding names of Italian vermouth, made in Turin since the 1700s by aromatising wine with a house blend of alpine herbs, roots and spices. This litre bottling is a working vermouth rather than a collector's one — the size alone tells you it is meant to be opened and poured regularly. Expect the house signature: a nose of wormwood, vanilla and dried citrus, a palate that balances gentle sweetness against bitter root, and a clean herbal finish. Keep it refrigerated once opened. Serve it chilled with soda and an orange slice, or build it into an Americano, a Negroni or a Manhattan.
