Bull Run Distilling Company Pacific Rum 750ml

Pacific Rum comes from Bull Run Distilling in Portland, an Oregon house better known for whiskey that turned its stills toward sugarcane as well. It is a light, clean style of rum built for mixing — the kind that lets lime and sugar do their work without a heavy molasses shadow sitting behind them. The nose is fresh cane, vanilla and a little green banana; the palate is soft and lightly sweet, with coconut, cane sugar and a faint grassy note; the finish is short, crisp and clean. This is daiquiri rum first and foremost, and it holds its own in a mojito or a tall rum and soda.
