Carpano Antica Formula Red Vermouth 50ml

Carpano Antica Formula is the sweet vermouth most cocktail bars reach for when a drink needs weight, made in Turin to a recipe the Carpano house traces back to the late eighteenth century. It is fortified wine aromatised with wormwood and a long list of botanicals, and it carries a heavy dose of vanilla that sets it apart from the leaner Italian vermouths on the same shelf. The nose is vanilla, dried fig and bitter orange; the palate is thick, sweet and spiced with cocoa, saffron and clove; the finish is long and bittersweet. Stir it into a Manhattan or a Negroni, or drink it cold over ice with an orange twist.
