This is a single cask bottling from the Cask Share Collective series, a twelve year old single malt identified by cask number rather than a distillery name — the house style of independent bottlers who release one barrel at a time. Twelve years is enough for the oak to shape the spirit without taking it over. Expect orchard fruit, honey and vanilla on the nose, a malty palate with baked apple, dried apricot, a little toffee and light spice, and a warm finish that ends dry.
