Cava de Oro Plata 750 ML

Cava de Oro Plata is an unaged blue Weber agave tequila from Jalisco, bottled clear so the distillate stands on its own. Without oak in the way, a plata shows exactly how the agave was cooked and handled — there is nothing to soften a rough spirit. The nose is cooked agave, citrus peel and a green herbal note; the palate is sweet roasted agave up front, then white pepper, lime zest and a clean mineral streak; the finish is crisp, peppery and short. Serve it neat in a copita at cool room temperature, or build a margarita where the agave should stay the loudest thing in the glass.
