Clonakilty Single Pot Still is an Irish whiskey made in the style that is native to Ireland and almost nowhere else, from a mash of malted and unmalted barley run through pot stills. The unmalted barley is what gives the style its signature: a thick, almost oily texture you simply do not get from malt alone. Clonakilty is a family distillery on the West Cork coast, maturing its casks within sight of the Atlantic. Green apple, honey and a light clove note on the nose; a creamy palate of vanilla, orchard fruit and baking spice; a soft, gently spiced finish. Drink it neat, with a drop of water, or in an Irish whiskey sour.
