About this bottle
Clyde May's Alabama Style Whiskey takes its name from a Bullock County moonshiner who spent decades making whiskey in the pines and finishing it with dried apples, a signature the legal brand still carries. That apple note is the whole identity here: this is not a plain bourbon but a whiskey with orchard fruit and spice woven through it, closer to a slice of pie than a barrel sample. Baked apple and cinnamon sit over caramel on the nose, the palate runs to apple pie spice, vanilla and brown sugar with light oak underneath, and the finish is warm and sweet. Pour it over a big cube, or build an apple-forward old fashioned.
