Codigo 1530 Rosa is the pink one, and the colour is not added: the tequila rests in uncharred French white oak barrels that previously held Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, which tints it and rounds it at the same time. Those wine casks are the house signature across the whole Codigo range, and they leave a red-fruit character no other tequila quite matches. This Kevin O'Leary edition carries the same liquid behind a signature label. Cooked agave with red berry and a faint wine note on the nose; strawberry, vanilla and gentle pepper on a soft palate; a short, clean finish. Serve it well chilled in a flute, over ice, or in a paloma.
