About this bottle

The Goose Gossage Elite Edition is Cooperstown Distillery's 100% New York State straight bourbon, hand-selected and signed by Baseball Hall of Famer Rich "Goose" Gossage. It's built on a high-corn mash of 80% corn and 20% rye and barley, aged in small-capacity new charred oak barrels and bottled at 100 proof. The higher corn content shows in a sweeter, rounder profile than the distillery's other Elite Edition releases, with vanilla, crème brûlée, caramel, and butterscotch on the finish. Like the rest of Cooperstown's Hall of Fame decanter series, it's aimed at collectors and baseball fans as much as bourbon drinkers.

How to drink the Goose Gossage Elite Edition

Its high-corn mash bill means it's sweet enough to enjoy neat or over ice — save the mixing glass for a simpler bourbon and let the vanilla and butterscotch notes stand on their own here.
