Corazón Reposado W.L. Weller is part of the Expresiones series, a blue Weber agave tequila distilled at Casa San Matías in Jalisco and rested in barrels that arrived from Buffalo Trace after holding Weller wheated bourbon. Wheat instead of rye in the original whiskey means the wood carries a softer, rounder sweetness into the tequila rather than pepper. The result keeps roasted agave up front while vanilla, brown sugar and gentle oak fill in behind, finishing long and warm without turning syrupy. Drink it neat in a copita to follow the agave, or stir it into an agave old fashioned with a strip of orange peel.
